In the center of the courtyard, twenty Blood Shadow Guards glared icily at Liu Yue, who wore a sarcastic expression. She was still so young yet she spoke with such a brazen tone. Had it not been for the fact that she was their Lord’s Princess Consort, they would have already broken her neck for daring to insult them.

Xuan Yuan Che who had read the mood of the Blood Shadow Guards slowly walked one step forward and calmly said, “In the future, she will be your master.”

That one sentence was immediately replied with a trace of hostility and killing intent. The twenty pairs of eyes bored altogether on Liu Yue, not with reverence, but with disdain and anger.

“No, she is unqualified.” the leader of the Blood Shadow Guards, Du Yi, responded coldly.

Hearing this, Xuan Yuan Che did not speak much. He only stepped backwards and looked at Liu Yue with a smile.

Yesterday, Liu Yue had already thought that without her original powers, her movements and plans would be restricted. She could not rely on the Mu Rong and the Right Minister’s Clan as in the end, they were a separate body. Although they were currently working together for mutual benefits, after a while, they would definitely break apart again to serve each of their own benefits.

Liu Yue thought that she could only do whatever she wished if she had an absolute power on her own.

Therefore, Liu Yue asked Xuan Yuan Che for a favour and he also agreed to let her be in charge of his prided forces.

Now, it was time to show off her skills and powers. In order to subdue these prideful Secret Agents that held the power over people’s life and death, what she needed was not sweet words and praises, but a showcase of absolute power and strength.

dop631No more unnecessary words. With an apathetic expression, Liu Yue slowly started  to equip a silver silk glove. She stretched her left hand, then coldly crooked her finger towards the Secret Agents and said in an extremely icy tone, “Everyone attack me altogether.”

The twenty Secret Agents’ faces instantly darkened at her frigid words. Every single one of them were the top assassins of the Tian Zhen Empire. Neither of them would even need the help of another to assassinate a person. Yet right now, this mere thirteen years old girl actually had the audacity to dare them to strike at her altogether. This was definitely a humiliation. An unspeakable humiliation.

Scrutinizing the livid faces of all the Secret Agents, a flash of contempt gleamed briefly in Liu Yue’s eyes.

“Since you all wouldn’t move, then do not blame me for drawing the first blood.” Her cold voice was still resounding in the air as her body flew forward, fast as lightning.

Her speed wasn’t very quick, but she had already appeared before them in an instant.

Du Yi snorted coldly when he saw her. He didn’t even unsheathed the sword in his hand and charged directly towards Liu Yue, aiming his hands at the vital part of Liu Yue’s chest.

Unexpectedly, Liu Yue didn’t even try dodging his attack. Her hands, wearing the silver silk gloves, pinched at the sheath of her sword. Then her fingertips suddenly stabbed forward from a totally unexpected position.

because she is all too willing to turn it into a bloodbath and those clothes of his are his newest/favourite set xD

they cover each other when needed and also allow each other to act separately within certain bounds. good pair :3

I just love how everyone underestimates her at first glance xD

while this is true, the standard aura of experts in this era are their qi training and condensating, something that she doesn’t have.

still something she will smack them for, i believe.

well. just saying, but if i ever meet someone whose eye’s scare the crap out of me, I am turning around and leaving xD I trust my instincts far more than some faulty “common sense” which I know is not universally true xD

IF I am scared, then there is a damn good reason for me to be xD

      • Inbetweenaction says:

to be fair, she is thirteen, and just challenged the elite swat forces of the kingdom. it’s not that odd that it’s not considered seriously.

Except that they really ought to know by know that she has an enormous burst power, since she is the talk of the town after destroying a steelwood gate in one hit. And since they are the special forces/assassin squad, they also ought to have heard about the poisson attempt, or she has a very real reason to fail their intel gathering ability.

but yeah, they are a lovely pair that seem to know when to cling to each other and when to give each other space. ^^

Yuan Che could not be more whipped. First he let her bet his entire fortune in a dice game and then he let her take control of his prided special ops team. He’s whipped like the family pig.

    • Inbetweenaction says:

It’s actually a fairly good division of labor, his wife must clearly have stated her preference for infiltration and assassination (or at least her actions have told it to him) whereas he is known as a great general and military leader.

so splitting the troops of their household to be put under the individual that can maximise it’s use and bring out their maximal potential is a good thing and shows Ches faith in his wife.

will grant that it might have been slightly wiped to let her bet all their wealth in a game of dice, rigged or not. but he could clearly see that she was playing an act, and by the time she brought out their entire wealth at the table, it was far to late for him to real it in while keeping face, which to royals might be even more important than wealth.

I like their relationship. A lot. There are many novels where I feel that the relationships are irritating and distracting (yes, Arifureta is included, basically all harems) but here the relationship is good for the plot.

    • Inbetweenaction says:

this and MGA are probably the ones that whose relationship parts are the best when it comes to novels. Mga is harem, but it actually makes it work very well by making it a cultural thing rather than a fan fantasy insertion most of the time…

Arifureta… look, lets be honest. the relationship part of that is pure shameless fantasy insertion, atleast once they exit the first dungeon.

In the atrium courtyard, there exists the presence of twenty people coldly staring at Liu Yue. Her age was not small however she displayed an ignorant attitude and dared to insult them, if not for her being the prince’s consort, they would have already snapped her neck.

Xuan Yuan Che took in everything that was said, slowly walked up at proclaimed “from now on, your master would be her”.

The faint words immediately garnered hostility from twenty pairs of eyes and they displayed not the eye of respect, but of disdain and anger.

“No, she doesn’t have the qualification.” The head of the Du Wei coldly announced.

Xuan Yuan did not rebuke to that, he just stepped back and smiled at Liu Yue.

Yesterday Liu Yue deeply felt that without their own power…
